Dancehall artiste Shatta Wale has responded to the widely circulated incident that occurred on stage at the 2025 Tidal Rave Festival, where his personal assistant, Abonko, was seen confronting and pushing event MC Kojo Manuel during Wale’s performance.
The altercation, captured in viral videos, showed Abonko stepping onto the stage to stop Kojo Manuel shortly after he introduced Shatta Wale. The incident caused confusion among fans and quickly triggered reactions across social media.
Following the backlash, Shatta Wale issued a public message addressing the situation. In his statement, he apologized directly to Kojo Manuel and clarified that the confrontation resulted from a misunderstanding related to stage timing and performance coordination.
Shatta Wale said:
“Kojo Manuel, so sorryyy… Abonko is the nicest person ever. When it comes to my work… none of my team come close. Sorry he pushed you… Everything is timing and discipline.”
He further explained that Abonko was only trying to ensure that the timing of his performance matched what the team had planned, stressing that there was no personal issue between his camp and the MC.
Kojo Manuel has not issued a formal statement yet, but industry colleagues have urged calm, describing the incident as an avoidable misunderstanding.
Tidal Rave organizers are expected to release an official statement on the matter.
